Meytar Moran

Meytar Moran (1986) is a multidisciplinary artist and poet. Holds an MFA with honors in photography, video and media from the SVA School of Visual Arts, New York (2017) and a BFA with honors in photography (2013) from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Presented in a variety of exhibitions, museums, film festivals and art fairs in Israel and around the world. Her works are part of the collection of the Museum of Photography in Chicago MoCP and private collections in Israel and abroad. Her debut book of poetry and art 'Pesa Pega Petza' [Step, Harm, Wound] (edited by Shay Schneider-Eilat, Irovin Publishing, 2022) won awards and was exhibited at art fairs in Israel and the United States. Winner of the Most Promising Artist Award of the IPABF In-Print Artist Book Fair for the year 2023, winner of the Rabinovitch Scholarship for 2022, nominee for the Fin Prize for Poetry for 2022, winner of the Outstanding Artists Scholarship from the Union of Visual Artists, 2021, as well as other awards and scholarships. Operates from a conceptual research laboratory that combines text, image, video, sound and installation, on the range between the personal and the collective. In her works, narratives emerge concerning the basic nature of human existence in intersection with technology, and a preoccupation with the associative associations of dressing up meanings as a way of dealing with the unknown. Editorial board member of the ‘Daat Tvunot' series published by Idra press, a core member of the poetry collective 'Olipou', and Editorial member of the online magazine for poetry and art 'Resen' (soon to be announced).
